Costa del Sol

It is near the Sea

Costa del Sol (meaning coast of the sun), is obviously near the sea and runs for a couple of hundred miles from Gibraltar to near Almeria, taking in many towns on the way.

It is near the mountains
Mijas


Mijas (pronounced mihas) is one of the white villages about 10 miles inland from Fuengirola on the side of a mountain, very popular with tourists.

Ojen

Ojen (Pronounced okhen) is another white village
about 15 miles inland from Marbella. In Franco's time was a popular place to stay while hunting in the forests nearby.


One more white town in mountains

It is near Malaga
and Samana Santa ( The Holy Week)

Samana Santa (the English translation is Holy Week). All towns big and small have their processions parading their favourite saints etc.

It is near the cave, also.

This cave is near Nerja (pronounced Nerka) about 50 miles from Malaga and also popular with tourists.
